Nestled in Amsterdam’s historic Jordaan district, known for its narrow streets and charming terrace houses, this rare corner home opens up to a beautiful public square, offering an abundance of natural light.
The original layout, with its series of small, enclosed rooms, was reimagined into a spacious, airy home. By relocating the entry to the second floor, we simplified the flow, removed the dark, confining hallway, and welcomed sunlight from every direction.
A carefully curated palette of timber, stone, and steel creates a warm yet durable environment, blending natural textures with robust materials that enhance both comfort and function. The result is a home that feels simultaneously intimate and expansive, perfectly suited for modern living.
